What is Model Call at TEN?
At TEN Salon and Men Spa, our Stylists go through a rigorous training program to hone their craft before performing services at full price and on the salon floor. Working on real clients, like you, (not mannequin heads) is essential to them getting experience. We created TEN Model Call to allow our students to perfect techniques and receive real feedback from you, our model.
Product fees will be charged to models as follows:
$20 For Shampoo/Style or haircut appointments
$40 For Color appointments
We are looking for all different hair textures, lengths and densities therefore we simply ask that you take a current selfie and send it in an email briefly describing your hair and what you’re looking to achieve and one of our New Talent Stylists will get back to you. Haircuts include a wash and style.
Bob Haircut: A bob haircut is any haircut on or above the shoulders but below the earlobes. When booking this haircut please be aware that it will be above the shoulders.
Long/Layered Haircut: This is any cut where the length is below the shoulders. We will customize each haircut with layers or bangs, both or neither.
Pixies and Short Layered Cuts: Short, versatile haircuts typically tapered and cut around the ear. Best for hair at least 4 inches long including layers.
Men’s Cutting: A short, close cropped cut that varies in length. Long mens haircuts are also available and all mens will include beard and neck trims.
Color Retouches and All Over Color: These are color services where color is applied to all of the roots and, if necessary, pulled through the entire length.
Highlight: Whether a virgin application or a retouch highlights are always booked as a highlight, either partial (top and sides) or full (highlighted underneath as well).
Balayage: A freehand highlighting technique that creates a natural, sun kissed highlight that will make you addicted to color.
Gloss: A demi-permanent color that we use to amplify dull color, refresh sad or yellowing highlights or just add radiant shine.
Men’s Color/ Gray Blending: At TEN we use the most innovative yet natural hair color out there and sometimes love to utilize blending gray hair over fully covering it!
